Mr Sham Bendre founded a transporter & stevedore business back in 1991. But his knack for digging deeper and precision for new ventures led him to expand the business into what today is Interport Global Logistics. Now a veteran business promoter, Mr. Bendre has always been an entrepreneur at his core. This has helped him don multiple hats in the logistics business for over 30 years, in India and abroad.
Apart from being Chairman at IGL, Mr Bendre mentors & guides new entrepreneurs with his 3 decade worth of wisdom. He also walks the talk by being an active angel investor for these entrepreneurs.
Vaidyanathan B. Iyer
President-Interport Global Logistics USA INC
Mr Vaidyanathan began his career in shipping when the industry was at a nascent stage in India. In his early years, he worked with leading LCL operators and NVOCCs which helped him gain a keen understanding of how the industry functions in the background. This immensely helped him in his entrepreneurial journey.
In 2014, Mr Vaidyanathan moved to the US to set up IGL’s first operations abroad. Leading the India-USA trade lane for the company, he has established IGL as a key player internationally.
Mr. Amit Bendre
Managing Director
Mr Amit Bendre joined IGL in 1997 when the company was in its early evolutionary phase from being a transporter & stevedore to an international freight forwarder. The logistics environment was constantly changing, and Amit who was a master sales strategist was instrumental in making IGL a ‘total logistics solution provider’ a motto he coined for the company. To realize this dream, he started and successfully ran the Customs Broking Division, the Transport division & the Relocation division.
Skilled in sales, operations management, customs broking & forwarding, Mr Amit now serves as Managing Director and has a keen interest in Finance, HR and networking – making him a proactive leader for the company.
Mr. Sameer Bendre
Jt. Managing Director
An early MBA graduate from Welingkar’s, Mr Sameer Bendre was key to IGL receiving the IATA Licence by clearing the mandatory IATA DGR Regulation and also the Indian Customs Exam in 2007.
With 18 years of experience in international logistics, Mr Sameer heads All India Sales for Interport. He is responsible for all Shipping Lines contract negotiations as well as Airline negotiations. He also leads LCL consolidation and IGL’s Overseas agency network.
Interport Global Logistics
Today, IGL has established offices in major cities and ports in India with warehousing facilities and transport equipment to handle any cargo independently. The company also has access to major international ports through its branch offices.
